Sea-Green-Weddings " Eco-Floral alternatives"

 

 Okay , now here are some amazing Eco friendly ideas and I am totally intrigued by these amazing little beauties......and you will be too !!!

Here are some very neat, unique and chic  alternatives to a flower bouquet.....Believe it or not......these flowers are ... Sola flowers and are handmade flowers from tapioca wood, which is a very soft wood. You can easily string them together with a needle to make natural garlands or rose balls for decoration. As well as using hemp twine and hang them from our bamboo gazebo. These Sola flowers are affordable and re-usable , handmade and are created from a very  sustainable wood that is available.........

Sola remarkably affordable considering they are handmade from tapioca wood peel, which is a naturally derived paper product.  And because they aren’t technically a live flower, they never die making them them perfect for your eco-friendly beach wedding.

They make for a great "beachy bride", "earthy" , yet elegant, romantic and "chic".

Now these little beauties are preserved natural flowers, ~ orchid flowers. These flowers are naturally preserved flowers that will last and endure for years. The flowers maintain their natural blooming state for up to 2-3 years due to a proprietary process that they undergo.  With so much emphasis on sustainable development and the preservation of our environment . This is an amazing alternative to designer fresh flower arrangements. These flowers will help preserve our planet by eliminating enormous amounts of CO2 emitted in the fresh flower transportation process and also the wasteful packaging associated to it.

 Natural Seed Pod Cream Mum with Oak Leaves  are beautifully hand crafted "mum flower" on a wood stem. The flower is crafted from seed pods and measures 5" wide x 3 ... on a hand wrapped beige stem. This is the basic of this type of flower and could essentially be the base and from here we could keep adding floral elements around this. I am curious about this item, but am not quite sure on the best way to display and arrange this beauty. Well of course, you all know my favorite floral idea....Fresh, Local, Organic Floral with Succulents.........................................................

By placing a succulent in your bouquet you then have the option of placing the succulent into the ground after your wedding day ( up to 4-5 days) , you place the succulent right into the ground allowing it to continue growing and multiplying.

  There is also the lovely "sea lavender" which is a unique and very available item here on the coast, we could actually go out and pick this one for your bouquet. The unique idea of this lavender is that it has the dried look already before it is even dried. In fact once you dry this flower, there is really no difference. This is a great way to preserve your flower bouquet with simple drying , and it is everywhere...Of course from the lavender path I will then lead you to all the other types of lavenders available...thus creating and adding for a beautiful natural "earthy bride."

There is the "Spanish Lavender", "Lavender" and from there we have the "Lavender Pinata", all, very similar in that they are all green stemmed with beautiful , natural purples variations, beautiful when they are dried and eco because the are abundant in that they are very local, organic and available. They add a great natural design to your earthy wedding bouquet...
